The 19-Year Old Entrepreneur Makes Soccer Shoes For Gravel Pitches
Musa Maluleka, an entrepreneur who designs and produces soccer shoes specifically for gravel pitches.
The soccer boots industry has been, for years dominated by big brands but Disktjie is here to solve a lot of township soccer games problems.

Obviously these big brands made shoes for soccer games in good-maintained pitches.
Let's tell you a story about this young entrepreneur.
Disktjie's Story
First, we'd like to mention that his invention was voted as South Africa's best student enterprise by the Entrepreneur's Organisation.
Now:
Musa Maluleka is based in Attridgeville, Pretoria.
He loves playing local soccer games in his area. He believes soccer is an outdoor entertainment that unites the community.
However, playing games with the big name-brand shoes is not ideal for gravel pitches in townships. "It was really frustrating for me having to buy soccer boots frequently, and realizing that my peers stopped playing soccer and ended up on the streets and doing drugs because of this problem", he says.
Then Disktjie soccer shoe was born, from the moment when Musa used to get frustrated and buying soccer shoes frequently, to researching and starting his own business.
After conducting some research, trying to find a good manufacturer, he finally found a Chinese company that would manufacture his dream soccer shoes.
How much does it cost?
The soccer boot is selling for R700 for a pair. Disktjie anywhere across South Africa within that cost.
Disktjie invention was also praised by entrepreneur Vusi Thembekwayo on his Masterclass sessions.
