Who Qualifies For The R870 School Transport Allowance?

- lives more than 5 km from the school.

How The Allowance Will Be Paid
The R870 monthly allowance for each learner will be paid directly to the parents or guardians through bank transfer or other approved payment methods. Schools will support the eligible families throughout the registration procedure, while the payments will commence with the 2025 academic year.
The officials have strongly pointed out that the allowance is purely meant for transport expenses and its usage will be strictly monitored to eliminate any possible cases of abuse.
